British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople announced on Wednesday evening. The fighter was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the loss of his two dear friends.”

This update on his health follows the sports world shared sympathy for the fighter in the wake of the devastating accident.
